WHISPER OF THE HIMALAYAS
SACRED PILGRIMAGE THROUGH LADAKH, INDIA
-
A sacred space held over 11 powerful days to deepen your inner journey through daily practices, Himalayan landscapes, and community connection.
-
From ancient monasteries to high mountain passes and hidden valleys — each place opens a new doorway into silence, wonder, and soul remembering.
-
A transformational experience that shifts your perspective, anchors your essence, and stays with you long after you’ve returned home.
It is not a retreat - it’s a pilgrimage.
Together, we’ll cross this sacred land by motorcycle or car, moving through high passes and quiet valleys. Not just to witness beauty, but to slow down, listen deeply, and remember what truly matters.
Each place we visit becomes a mirror — reflecting something long forgotten, something real.
This is a path back to yourself.
And the clarity you find here, you’ll carry with you, long after the road ends.
The Route
-
We suggest all participants to arrive in Delhi by 1:00 PM. A private transfer will pick you up from the airport and bring you to our hotel for check-in and rest.
In the afternoon, we’ll gather for an opening circle to connect and set our intentions.
Later, we’ll enjoy a light guided tour of Delhi to feel the pulse of India. (Details coming soon.)This day is for landing, resting, and gently arriving into the energy of the journey.
-
This morning we fly to Leh, Ladakh, landing at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport — one of the world’s highest at 10,682 ft.
You'll be greeted with warmth and transferred to our hotel.
Leh, once a stop on the ancient Silk Road, is rich in Tibetan-Buddhist culture and dramatic landscapes. The first half of the day is for rest and altitude adjustment.
Later, we’ll stroll through Leh Market, perfect for buying essentials (like a SIM card, warmer layers) and soaking in the local vibe.
At sunset, we visit the iconic Shanti Stupa, a white Buddhist monument offering breathtaking views of the Indus Valley.
The day ends with yin yoga and breathwork, grounding us gently in this sacred land.
-
We start the day with breathwork, meditation, and a morning channeling session — tuning into subtle energies to receive guidance for the group’s path.
After breakfast and a restful morning, we visit two sacred sites:
🕉️ Thiksey Monastery — a 12-story Buddhist jewel with a majestic Maitreya Buddha and deep spiritual resonance.
🏯 Shey Palace — the former summer capital of Ladakh, where silence, history, and the golden Buddha invite contemplation.
In the evening, return for an intuitive channeling space — to sense what the group needs next, spiritually and energetically.
We close the day with a gentle sharing circle, where everyone can voice what is moving within.
-
We begin with morning yoga and breathwork, anchoring the body and spirit before journeying deeper into Ladakh’s mystical roots.
Our first visit is to Hemis Monastery — the largest and wealthiest in Ladakh, known for preserving ancient Tantric teachings and vibrant spiritual energy. Nestled nearby in the cliffs is a sacred meditation cave, where Guru Padmasambhava is said to have meditated in the 8th century. We’ll spend time in stillness here, opening to the silence that births vision.
Next, we journey to Chemrey Gompa, a lesser-known but breathtaking monastery built into the mountain — a place of windswept solitude, deep prayer, and golden murals.
We return in the evening for our sharing circle — to speak from the heart, integrate the day, and honor the voice of the soul.
-
After morning yoga practice and breakfast, we set off on a scenic drive towards Lamayuru, often called Moonland for its surreal, otherworldly landscapes — like walking across the surface of the moon.
On the way, we stop at Basgo Monastery, nestled among eroded cliffs and golden ruins. Once a royal citadel, this sacred site still holds a quiet majesty, surrounded by a timeless Ladakhi village.
We arrive at Lamayuru Monastery, one of the oldest in Ladakh. It stands above strange limestone formations, in a place where legends say the lake dried up to reveal a land for monks to practice.
We'll take time to explore the monastery and feel into the elemental silence of the surrounding terrain.Tonight, we stay in Lamayuru village, with views over the moonlike valleys — a night to rest under Himalayan stars and dream in sacred stillness.
Evening: short channeling and sharing circle, to anchor the day's journey.
-
After breakfast, we journey back to Leh, following the winding roads carved by wind and river.
Along the way, we stop at Sangam — the sacred confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers. Two powerful waters meet here: one turquoise, the other deep green — a striking union of flow and stillness.
Next, we pause at the mysterious Magnetic Hill, where cars seem to defy gravity. This place has long been considered a gateway to altered perception, a spot where the land pulls and speaks.
Finally, we visit the peaceful Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, built to honor Guru Nanak’s journey through the Himalayas.
A space of universal love, humility, and protection, where we pause for a moment of gratitude.Arrival in Leh by evening.
Yin yoga, evening circle and silent rest. -
Today, we cross the legendary Khardung La Pass — at over 18,000 ft (5,359 m), one of the highest motorable roads in the world.
Winds howl, prayers fly, and the Himalayas stretch endlessly. It’s a breathtaking moment of altitude, openness, and surrender.Descending from the sky, we arrive in the Nubra Valley, where desert meets glacier.
In Hunder, we experience the silken sand dunes and ride the Bactrian camels — once carriers on the Silk Route, now gentle messengers of forgotten rhythms. We’ll stay overnight in Hunder, under vast desert skies.
Evening: meditation, short circle and rest. -
We begin the day with morning yoga and breathwork, gently awakening body and breath before heading into the silence of the far north.
Then we journey deeper into the Nubra Valley, toward Turtuk — a remote Balti village near the border with Pakistan.
Along the way, we stop in Thang, one of the northernmost inhabited villages in India, where ancient stories whisper through the rocks and air.
Turtuk greets us with its unique Balti culture — shaped by Central Asian and Ladakhi roots. We’ll walk among stone homes, apricot trees, and sacred wooden mosques, meeting locals who carry centuries of wisdom in their gaze.
A day to slow down and receive life in its most honest form.
Overnight stay in Turtuk. Optional evening circle to share what moved.
-
We begin the day with morning yoga and breathwork, reconnecting with the body after the stillness of Turtuk.
Then we ride back through the Nubra Valley toward Sumoor, a tranquil village cradled between dunes and peaks.
On the way, we stop at the Panamik hot springs — known for their naturally heated mineral waters said to soothe joints, calm the nervous system, and restore life force.
We take time here to soak, relax, and let the body receive.Evening arrival in Sumoor, where silence flows like a river and stars seem closer than ever.
Overnight stay in Sumoor. Meditation, evening sharing and journaling.
-
We begin with morning yoga and breathwork, preparing to ride toward the sacred waters.
Our scenic drive takes us through the Shyok Valley, a surreal, ever-shifting landscape of rocks, rivers, and sky. The road itself feels like a prayer leading into the unknown.
We arrive at the legendary Pangong Lake — stretching across India and Tibet, known for its vivid changing colors, from sapphire to turquoise to silver.
We’ll spend the evening on the lakeshore, watching the sun melt into water and sky — a moment of pure stillness, beauty, and awe.
Overnight stay near Pangong Lake. Optional sunset sharing by the fire.
-
We begin with a leisurely morning by Pangong Lake — a final moment to sit with the stillness, breathe with the sky, and soak in the sacred waters.
After breakfast, we begin our return journey to Leh.
Back in Leh by evening, we’ll take a light walk through the local market — a chance to choose souvenirs, prayer beads, or small offerings to bring home with love.
This is a day of gentle return, reflection, and quiet joy.
We will end the day with closing ceremony.
-
After a nourishing breakfast and a final moment to take in the serene mountain air, we make our way to the Leh airport for our flight back to Delhi.
This is a day of quiet integration — a soft landing back into the world, carrying with us the stillness of the Himalayas, the clarity of the practices, and the deep connections we’ve made.
Our journey together may be coming to an end, but its resonance will continue to unfold long after we part ways.
This is not just a retreat - it’s an adventure.
It’s a soul journey — an inner and outer passage into self-awareness, reconnection, and remembrance.
Through the raw presence of the Himalayas, we’ll open the body, soften the heart, and silence the mind.
With daily yoga, Taoist energy practices, meditation, channeling, and moments of deep stillness, we’ll step out of our everyday identities and into our essence.
Each road, each breath, each sacred site we touch becomes a mirror.
Program
Our daily practices are intentionally designed to support physical resilience, nervous system regulation, and energetic integration, especially considering the demands of high-altitude travel and the energetic intensity of Ladakh’s sacred sites.
-
We will work with therapeutic, functional movement to stabilize the joints, release travel-related tension, and maintain circulation.
Practices will focus on grounding, realignment, and nervous system support, with special attention to the spine, hips, and breath.
This is not performance-based yoga; it is recovery and integration.
-
We will use breath-based techniques (pranayama and somatic breathing) to assist with oxygen intake, balance energy, and manage altitude-related symptoms.
Breathing practice will be progressive and safe, helping participants build tolerance and restore internal rhythm.
-
Each day will include time for seated or guided meditation.
In this environment, mental clarity tends to arise naturally.
The intention is not withdrawal, but inward connection — supporting self-awareness, emotional regulation, and inner stillness.
-
In select locations, one of our guides will facilitate intuitive sessions to help the group connect with the energetic qualities of the land.
This may influence which practices are offered and how the group moves through the day. These sessions are held with professionalism and respect for individual boundaries.
-
Each participant will receive one private intuitive session during the retreat.
These are structured spaces to explore personal insight, energetic alignment, or guidance relevant to your life path.
Sessions are optional and confidential.
